Logistics Manager
Role Summary
The Logistics Manager ensures all SOLS Energy fleet operations run safely, reliably, and cost-efficiently to support installation, operations, and programme delivery. As the first dedicated management hire in the function, this role also builds the foundational systems, SOPs, and processes that allow the department to scale.
In this role you will:
- Plan and coordinate daily vehicle scheduling to support installation teams, field operations, and programme delivery across all SOLS brands.
- Maintain a live fleet deployment tracker and resolve scheduling conflicts proactively so no installation is missed.
- Own the preventive maintenance schedule for all company vehicles and ensure they meet roadworthiness standards at all times.
- Manage relationships with workshops and service providers for cost-effective, quality maintenance work.
- Ensure all vehicles maintain valid road tax, insurance, puspakom inspections, and permits, with a forward-looking compliance calendar and zero lapses.
- Coordinate last-mile transport for solar panel deliveries, equipment, and tools to project sites with SCM and Installation.
- Track and report all fleet-related costs including fuel, maintenance, and tolls, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Build and maintain clear SOPs for scheduling, maintenance, compliance, and documentation, and implement fleet management tools.
- Prepare regular fleet performance reports for the Logistics Director covering utilisation, downtime, and cost trends.
To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in fleet management, transport coordination, or logistics operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vehicle compliance, maintenance scheduling, and transport coordination independently.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive deployments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with logistics or fleet management tools.
- Clear and professional communication skills, able to coordinate across departments and with external vendors.
- Ownership mindset, comfortable operating with minimal supervision and building systems from the ground up.
