Role Summary

The Videographer is primarily responsible for the planning, shooting and editing of all videos required by the organisation. The videographer works closely with the Comms team to harness the power or communication to share our stories. It requires a candidate that is passionate about using visual storytelling to create impact.

In this role you will:

  • Capture, edit, and produce various types of video content to support SOLS Foundation's marketing, educational, and promotional initiatives.
  • Create compelling video materials that effectively convey the organization's mission and impact.
  • Produce diverse video content, including promotional videos, educational content, documentary-style videos, interviews with stakeholders, solar installation videos, and event coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team, education team, and other departments to meet specific video production needs.
  • Operate professional video and audio equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Reflect SOLS Foundation's core values of serving, educating, and empowering in video content by emphasizing authenticity and empathy.
  • Apply storytelling and visual direction that resonates with the audience's needs and emotions.
  • Produce video content on a regular basis, adjusting the frequency and volume based on project requirements.
  • Work on-location, in a studio, or a combination of both, with occasional travel for on-location shoots, especially for event coverage.

To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:

  • Prior professional experience as a videographer is advantageous.
  • Fresh graduates with a degree in videography, cinematography, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Expertise in operating professional video and audio equipment.
  • Proficiency in video editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and departments.
  • Ability to create video content that aligns with the organization's mission and values, emphasizing authenticity, empathy, and impact.
  • A commitment to conveying SOLS Foundation's core values of serving, educating, and empowering through impactful video storytelling.
